Inland - Quebec and Canada Family Class Sponsorships 2016

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Created this thread in order for anyone starting an Inland Application for in the beginning of 2016


I am new here! I have found this board extremely useful! My husband and I are just about to apply for a Spousal Sponsorship for my Husbands Permanent Residency (inland).
I have Already filled everything out, just waiting for next week to pay the remainder and send in what I need too! (The fee's are hefty for sure)

He was here on a open work permit as an Entertainer a few times this year, and in June decided to move here while he was on tour and is now here on a visitor Visa since November (after we applied to extend his stay). We moved to Quebec in September, so I've been having fun figuring out the process.

We have already done the medical, 290$ ($60 more because he had 2 tattoos from 20 years ago lol)

And we got his Police Record from Jamaica, which was a hell of a process when he is here and getting it from there.

My question is, after much research and to no avail, I do not get an answer.
I know they can get an Open Work Permit during an Inland application.
BUT is this actually valid for Quebec applications, as I know we need to go through the quebec sponsorship approval as well.

The OWP is issued based solely on the submission of the sponsorship application and has zero connection with Quebec.
