Does anyone know if CIC is planning on doing something about the processing times for inland applications? 19 months just seems a bit extreme. I know I can still be with my man (if they give me a visitor visa, once my WP expires), but given the uncertainty of actually being able to stay and the anxiety that comes with it, the whole process just seems like a prolonged torture to me right now. I want to live a normal life and do things that normal couples are doing, but there is always an "IF" nagging me in my head.

Anyway, I got to the depression stage that, as I saw here, many of us experience.

Cheers, Itsy

Since the government is actually closing local CIC offices, closing embassies and closing visa sections of some embassies and reshuffling staff, I highly doubt wait times are going to get shorter any time soon. Expect longer lines whenever a government starts crying "austerity" and handing out pink slips in the public sector, that's just how it goes.

I know, I get it ... still, I have most of the application done, I feel so unsure about our future it is pretty unbearable.

It's long, and the waiting sucks, and the uncertainty sucks.... but you can get through it, and it will be worth it in the end.
