Inland PR Support

Greetings from Vancouver!

Im currently confused as to which document's i should fill out for my wife as she is worried like mad that she will be sent back to Vietnam because both her study and her work permit is about to expire.
But i have sent in a Permanent Residence paperwork 1 year ago and i have been checking online & our mailbox everyday.. every week as it is important that i want her to be here with me. We received an update online that our paperwork has gone to " Decision Made"

4.A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Im not worried at all, our paperwork is moving along & the " in process" has been changed to " decision made" awhile ago so they should be contacting us soon.

She wants me to renew her study permit and work permit. when my heart is telling me that our paperwork is going to be finalized soon, but she keeps pushing me to do it.. now im here clueless on the CIC website trying to figure out which documents i should fill out to extend her work permit while waiting for permanent residence. Any help? ill add more information

Information -
she landed in 2009
she applied for school since 2009 and has been renewing it every year
in 2012 i applied for work permit - she has been working ever since.
2013 - june - we saw and received " decision made" status changed saying they'll contact us
2013 - October 31st both visa expires.
i sent all our paperwork to alberta CIC office.
i did all paperwork at home, no lawyer

Any information would be grateful

Thomas1990 - with your inland application she has 'implied status' until they inform you of their decision. No need to renew anything.

She wants to renew it but . . .
I've been telling her to wait for a bit till we get a response but she insist on renewing it so i've looked around the forum's and i've came across a post where we can just apply for open work permit while waiting for permenant residence status, but i have been looking for that specific documents but i've never came across it on the CIC website. reason why im here asking for help. thanks for reply!

Thank you for this post, i knew she can stay from reading other posts but she doesn't simply believe me. Now i must find information on Implied status and show it to her. <3

Implied Status comes from submitting an Open Work Permit application along with the inland PR app. If only the PR app is submitted, without an OWP app, there is no Implied Status.

If the PR app was approved in June, CIC should have already contacted your wife to arrange her landing appointment. Was this "decision made" referring to sponsor approval? If so, you have another possible 5 months or so to wait for PR.

I'm guessing from the info you have provided that you did not submit an OWP app along with the PR app. She can submit an OWP app now, on the basis that she has an inland PR app in progress. Go here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp
