Got a couple quick questions here. Spoke with my MP's office and the call centre agents, they are both saying the same things. They are saying they classified my application as inland because of the address I sent the file to. My MP told me to rectify this that i had to email using CPC-M with the courier proof of delivery which i have and request them to move it from inland to outland, which is extremely ridiculous. My representative sent the file to 2 ROBERT SPECK PARKWAY SUITE 300 Mississauga, ON L4Z1H8 is this not that outland address and is there such a thing where if you send it to the wrong P.O Box it gets classified as outland, my MP's office and call centre is saying that there is a specific inland address and a specific outland address and if the app was sent to the inland address it will be process as inland, wtf? Any advice would be great....

Hello,

I don't know if this is going to make you feel any better or if anecdotal evidence I am providing is at all accurate however:

We filed December 15 for Outland Common-law, Application was received by CIC December 19, we received confirmation of the application being received on February 27. The confirmation letter clearly states:

Dear, XXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXX

This confirms that your application for Permanent Residence under the Spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on
19/12/2014.
You will receive further correspondence once your application is under review by an agent.
Passports for yourself and your family members must be valid for the duration of your stay in
Canada.
/snip

That being said, our immigration consultant made some calls on our behalf and was told by CIC that there were a large number of confirmation letters sent out with a similar typo, Outland being acknowledged as Inland. They would not confirm or deny the status of our application and could not tell her whether it was inland our outland.

We did receive SA on March 17, and the file is now being shown as outland on the CIC website.

Yea, lets hope but most of the JAN applicants have got SA, my MP claimed my app is being processed inland due to where it was sent, the address.
