Are dependants allowed to leave/ re-enter Canada during the inland application process if principal applicants stay in Canada?
I'm the dependant who has valid study permit and passport, but family applying for inland family sponsorship, so will I mess up the application if I travel? and will i get denied entry if I come back?

There is no "inland" application for dependents. Just file outland, and use your Canadian address.

As OP already stated, they are a dependent of another person, presumably their parent, who is being sponsored inland.

That should be fine. There is no requirement for the Principal Applicant's dependents to cohabit with the sponsor during the processing. With a valid study permit (and TRV if needed), you should have no issues re-entering Canada.
