  • inland applicant
  • have valid work permit + job offer
  • intend to stay in the US for 2 months before returning to canada
  • 6.5 months in the CEC process, Oct 5 AOR
  • --> therefore very likely that I will receive CoPR while in the US
If that happens, from what I've heard (from ppl receiving CoPR outside of Canada - but countries other than the US), we'll be instructed to inform IRCC through an email that we're not in canada. The CoPR will get cancelled, identity will revert back to "Foreign nationals" and once the applicant enters canada, notify IRCC through webform and they'll issue a new CoPR. But many have indicated that, the last step takes an eternity, IRCC simply doesn't respond for months after they enter canada again.

Given this, I've come up with 3 solutions - does anyone know if they're feasible?
1) Upon receipt of CoPR, instead of notifying through email that I'm not in Canada, I will try to enter Canada using my work permit + job offer. Hoping that the CBSA is not aware that my work permit is void automatically upon receiving CoPR.
2) Do nothing, enter Canada using CoPR (the IRCC website says entry is allowed using CoPR if directly travel from the US - but it's vague if this applies for inland applicants)
3) Notify IRCC through webform right now that, I'm moving to the US for 2 months and please transfer my case to a US office. Get PPR --> mail passport -->get CoPR, enter Canada.

Any thoughts / suggestions are appreciated!!
Thanks!
