Inland application would like to travel out of Canada.

Hello,

I would like to ask for your advice regarding traveling outside of Canada while my PR application is still in process (inland application)

Currently, I hold a valid open work permit. I have been waiting for almost a year and I am now at the stage where I have just been invited to apply for the CSQ, as I am residing in Quebec.

I would like to return to Thailand for about a month, but I am not sure if I will be able to re-enter Canada afterward. Also, I am concerned whether leaving the country would make my PR application invalid.

From what I searched, it seems that I need to apply for a TRV in order to re-enter, but I am not sure if this is accurate.

If you have any information or advice, I would really appreciate it.

You question is very common here... yes, you can travel since you have valid TRV and OWP. Check this thread below. A lot of information about it.

I have a valid work permit that expires in August 2024, and a valid V-1 visa in my passport.

I got my invitation to apply for PR under CEC earlier this year, and submitted my official PR application in July 2023. I am still waiting to hear back on my decision for PR and wondering if I can travel to my home country while I await a decision?

On this link (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio.../immigrate-canada/pr-confirmation-portal.html) it says that if you are approved for PR you have to confirm that you are physically in Canada and that they can't...
