Hi everyone,

I have one quick question. I am being sponsored by my common-law partner from inside Canada. I know it's not recommended to leave Canada, but I was wondering about travelling inside Canada. Does any of you have any experience with this? Have you encountered any problems at the airports? I'm planning to fly from Toronto to Calgary next year, but I'm not sure what to expect at the airports.

I do have a legal status in Canada now; I obtained an open work permit under the pilot programme.

Thank you for your answers. :)

There is no immigration to deal with for domestic flights, so there is no issue.

Just be aware that an inland app requires cohabitation with sponsor within Canada during entire processing time. So if you are traveling to Calgary on your own just don't go for too long that CIC may think you are no longer cohabiting.

Thank you for your response!
I'm planning to go for ca. 5 days only, so I'm hoping that won't cause any troubles.
Thanks again. :)
