Hi everyone,

As the title says, I received an email from IRCC last week telling me that my file has been transferred to Vancouver for further assessment and they may contact me for an interview or for more documents it says. I know that they only transfer your file if they have doubt (I am out of status for 2 years) but I know my marriage is genuine ( 5 years together) and I have lots of proof so I am not afraid. My question here, why Vancouver? I don’t even live there ( I am in Manitoba), isn’t it supposed to be my local office? I ordered my notes a week ago. Thank you in advance for your help!

The email saying Vancouver might be a mistake. If it has been transferred to a local office, it should be near you. Wait and see what your notes say.

Thank you for your reply :) I hope it is a mistake, I spent the past 3 days on this forum and it is the first time that a file is transfered to Vancouver not the local office.
