Inland application - implied status.

Hi,
I've visitor visa till September 1st, we're going to apply fro sponsorship + OWP within couple days, let's say that we'll SEND the application by August 21st. The thing is, they probably won't receive/process this application before September 1st, so my visitor visa expiration date, therefore I'm wondering if impplied status will be valid since we send the application, or since they start to process it? We'll send this week and a half before status expires so I don't know, whether everything will be okay, ans whether it won't cause any problems with OWP or sponsorship application.

Technically implied status should start once you mail the app/OWP. Also, as long as you use a courier service, the app will be signed for once delivered to CPC-Mississauga so that would also serve to confirm implied status.

I was in a similar boat, i had my application sent back (doh, my fault) and in turn had to pay additional fees and wait even longer to restore my status. I think its safer (and quicker) if you just apply for a new visa in the meantime in case it gets sent back for any reason.
