Hello everyone ,
Has anyone filed for inland sponsorship after expiry of their visa without extension and restoring it?
Would you like to shed some experience ?

Although the Inland Guide has been updated to say that legal status is required to apply for sponsorship, many people without status in Canada, are still applying.

As far as I know, there's been no official change in policy that, in essence, `overlooks' an overstay for an Inland applicant. Legal status has always been a requirement, but a public policy allows for those without status to apply via an Inland application, if there is no other reason for them to be inadmissible...and they have a qualified sponsor.

If your status has expired within the last 90 days, I suggest you apply for Restoration of Status ASAP!
