Initial Assessment/Evaluation--Qorax plz explain

Hi,
Many of the times we read the word "Initial Evaluation/Assessment" but dont have much idea about it such as when its done?Can any change be made to it once its determined? etc etc.
Qorax you have explained many concepts/acronyms about Canadian Immigration ,kindly shed some light on it as well. It will help many members like me.(especially who are belonging to the old system of applications)

That Initial Evaluation/Assessment is only to determine your eligibility for further case processing. After that the b/ground check commences.

-For old apps: It consisted of general assessment of the apps & its enclosures to ascertain that s/he met the criterion for PR.

-For Fast Track apps: It mainly consists of evaluating u against the MI List & a general assessment of the contents of the apps.

This is the 1st hurdle to clear... the actual battle only starts after this IA.
