Couple of questions..

How long has the processing time been from Brazil on outland apps?
Has anyone done an outland while staying in Canada?
What about interviews, is there a high risk of an interview if you have a pretty good proof of relationship?

My son and daughter-in-law are trying to figure out the best route to take. He is in the process of taking over a family business in Canada and they would really like to be together there. They are planning to do a civil wedding there. She is on a tourist visa. If she needs to come back that is fine, they want to do it right.

Any suggestions?? Mom here trying to help the kids because they have never had to worry about so much documentation. I have had the expereince in becoming a pr in brazil!! Always a form or passport or everything to renew or fill out, or translate!

Hi, the processing time from Brazil is 11 months, plus the 56 days for sponsor.( outland)

I am not sure what is best for your kids but I can tell you what my wife did. She is Chinese and managed to get a multiple visa, on her second visit we got married, when the 6 months stay had almost ran out she applied fir extension for 13 months and got it. we just sent off for our outland application, last week.

So if they were to apply for outland while in Canada and she was able to extend her visitor visa it shouldn't be too bad, and much faster than inland. She then would have the option to come back if necessary, for an interview and really even if they had a few months apart it really wouldn't be worst case scenario. I understood too, if by some crazy chance they were denied they could appeal on an outland app, correct?

Could she still do her medical there then in Canada?
Her police check she could get done and tranlsated too, i believe it can be requested online from brasil.
They could be gathering as much info now as possible without yet filling in application forms. Letters, photos chats, etc....they want to open a joint account and oossbile add her to hs credit card.

What you have to bear in mind is that,if she goes back for an interview, would she be guaranteed of getting another visa.
you you do get to appeal doing outland. Yes the medical can be done here, also if you extend visitor visa, you have to have a medical.
Someoen else with moore experience might beable to ad more info.
