Hi All,

I am planning to apply for express entry program, however, I am confused which qualifications I need to assess. I have read through different threads but I am unfortunately unable to conclude. I would appreciate if anyone can help me with my following questions:

1. I have done ACCA and possess over 3 years of experience, however, part of my experience falls before qualifying ACCA and part of it after qualifying ACCA. Does that matter?
2. Which of the following qualification should I get assessed in order to get the highest points.

a. ACCA - (Haven't applied for membership yet)
b. BSC (hons) in applied accounting (done as part of ACCA- Distance learning program)
c. Bachelor of Commerce from University of Karachi - 2 years program (Completed privately)
d. Masters in Economics from University of Karachi - 2 years program(Completed privately)

Moreover, I have learnt that the CIC makes decision based on the draws conducted and there is a minimum score to it. My score falls exactly at 67, how many points should I get in the comprehensive rating system? And is it worth to apply with these points?

I would appreciate confirmation on my above query.

Thanks
Ovaice..

Dear Owais,

your case is more or less similar to my case, we have exactly same qualifications and experience. according to my knowledge,

1-ACCA will be equivalent to 3 years canadian bachelors
2-Bsc : i think it wont fetch you any points since it just an exemption.
3- Bcom plus MA Economics : I think these combined will come equivalent to 4 years Bachelors that means we will have to choose two or more degrees wala option.
4-experience : doesn't matter if its post qualification or during qualification.

I have sent my documents to WES and expecting the assessment report this week so lets see.

Dear Sunny,

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate that.

Now the only concern with my application is that I have done my bachelor and masters privately. Does that matter? What is it in your case?
