Indian visa question..

not sure where I wold post this topic,, but any kind of help will be appreciated. I am a Canadian PR ; with a british passport ; have been living in Canada for past 15 years. I have plans on getting married in india this coming feb; and plan on visiting family this coming oct in india for some shopping.

Question I have is I see now that there are 10 year visa options available for india when applying from Canada for Candian Nationals. Since I am Canadian PR only will I qualify for the 10 year visa option?

I am not sure whether you can apply for 10 year visa as this option is for canadian nationals only. Please check with BLS canada to see what options they have available for you:

As per Indian High Commission's website in London, UK, you can apply for 5 year multiple entry visa. I am not sure if you can get the same from Indian Consulate in Canada or not. Here is the link though:

However you can apply either regular visa or OCI (only if you meet the eligibility criteria for OCI)

May be ur referring about OCI. lots of documentation needs to be done for OCI.
I go to india on tourist visa

Na not OCI; according to the bls website:

10-Year multiple-entry Tourist and Business Visa is being introduced for Canadian nationals with immediate effect, as per following guidelines.

Requirements:

Duly completed Visa application form.
Two recent passport size (51mm x 51mm) colour photos showing full frontal face against a white background. One photo needs to be pasted on the application form and other enclosed separately.
Passport with minimum of 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages.
Proof of address.
For persons who have held an Indian Passport in past - proof of Renunciation of Indian Citizenship and Immigration status at time of arrival in Canada.
Fees: C$ 202 plus processing fee of BLS International Services Canada Inc.


Question I have is since I am only a Canadian PR; does taht qualify me as a Canadian National? or a candian national is a person who only holds a valid canadian passport

Canadian National = Canadian Citizen
