Indian PCC from USA

Can any one tell me how much time does it take to get indian PCC in USA.

If you are in New York, then you can get the PCC same day. I got mine in three hours on the same day.

If you are not in New York, then you will have to mail your documents to the Consulate in NY. I think it will take you max 2 weeks by mail. The entire process is available in Miscellaneous Consular Services section on the Indian Consulate General website.

Does one need to send original passport to the Indian consulate for getting pcc?

They gave me a letter without photograph and stamped passport.

They also gave me a letter without photograph and stamped passport. I think that should be the norm for the Consulates abroad. The picture sample is for Coimbatore.

I don't thing we need to send photo graphs for indian pcc right if am not wrong
