Hi,

I am from India. My post graduate work permit expires in one week. I have got the ITA in the last round with a score of 483 (ITA's Issued at 441). I am wondering if I can stay in Canada after my PGWP expires and get the BOWP. My police certificates etc are not ready yet...

You posted only 2 hours ago there is no need to re-post.

I think you should be able to switch to visiting visa. If you are able to submit your PR application do so ASAP then you can be on implied status. You cant apply for your BOWP without submitting your PR application first.

One of the pre-requisite for BOWP is AOR, if you could submit your e-APR and get AOR in return before your work permit expires, and then you should be able to apply for BOWP. Please note that at the time of your BOWP application your work permit should be in valid status.

This is difficult. You need to submit your eAPR (complete with PCCs) and still have a valid work permit to be eligible to apply for a BOWP.

If you will not be able to submit your e-APR before your PGWP expires, then you will not be eligible to apply for the BOWP.

You can apply to change to visitor status, but of course you cannot work then. You need to apply before your PGWP expires, or else you will also have to pay the restoration fee.

Or, you can decide to `go home`while your application is processing.
