Indian Citizen on OPT, applying for work visa in Canada

I was a student in US on a F-1 visa and now am in my OPT i.e i do have work permit to work in the states. But i was offered a job in Canada, do i need to go back to India and get the visa or can i do it from the US. Whats the procedure. Any help is appreciated.
