India PCC help needed

Hi Guys, need a suggestion. BLS is asking me to amend my passport with spouse name in order to get a PCC. I cannot do it in Tatkaal because of my visa is expired. I have 8 weeks of time to submit all the docs to IRCC. Any kind of suggestion helps me. But here is what I have in my mind:
1. Will BLS accept if I send marriage certificate instead of amending spouse name in passport?
2. In order to amend spouse name in Tatkaal, will the approved Work Permit is enough? or Stamped visa is required?
