India Passport renewed: Inform to CIC

My India passport has re-issued recently (as old was expiring )
Old passport is canceled and i received new passport with new passport number.

I have received AOR last week.
How should i inform CIC ? Just sending new passport copy with cover letter is fine ?

Soft copy of the first and last page and any page that has change in information stamps. Email them.
