India just announced that 180 countries can travel to India and avail visa-on-arrival services for a 30 day single entry stay. There will be prior electronic approval required of course.

The question now is:

Do former Indian citizens still need to renounce their Indian citizenship, cancel their Indian passports and obtain Surrender Certificate before they can avail of visa-on-arrival service to visit India?

thats great news. Unfortunately, it seems that nothing has been done regarding dual citizenship rules. Upon getting Canadian Citizenship it is illegal to keep Indian Citizenship.

All I can say is the CRIME level will definitely soar! at the maximum level. Considering the current level without the on arrival. 8)
