Hi everyone,
I am 2nd year international PhD student and my study permit is valid up to January 2020. However I had a conflict with my supervisor and withdraw his supervision. The university gave me 4 month to find a new supervisor, otherwise they will withdraw me from the program(the deadline is at the end of January). Now I have found another position at different school. The thing is the deadline for the winter admission has been passed and I have to apply for the summer semester.
Now I have heard two scenarios:
1/ I have 90 days for restoration of my study permit and I don't have to leave the country.
2/ I have to have status on winter semester, therefore I need to either switch to visitor visa or leave the country.
I would appreciate if someone who knows or has been in similar situation could help me.
Wish you all the Best
