Hello,

I submitted my citizenship application in September of this year, three months later I have a received back the package I submitted with a letter from the Case processing centre saying my application was incomplete due to: "You did not provide consent for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the CRA to share your tax information to determine if yo meet the tax filing obligation"

I went back to the form online and saw there was a checkbox right underneath this section that was not in the form I submitted. I thought something happened when I printed and that I had probably skipped this section accidentally. But I had saved in my computer the empty forms I downloaded in September and realized that the applications between September and November are a little different (mostly in terms of format)

While comparing these two forms I also noticed that the checkbox they said I missed is in the form I submitted originally only in a different section (at the end of the document) than what the latest form in their webpage shows.

They are asking me to submit a complete application form on a version of the application form dated October 2017 or later. (The one I originally submitted said 06-2018)

I don't know if I should submit the package I originally submitted with a cover letter, explaining pretty much what I had said here and that I do consent to share my tax information. Or just submit the latest form with all the documentation I originally sent? Has anybody had a similar experience?

Any advice?

Thank you!
