This is my second year as an international student in Canada, do I need to file my taxes? If yes, what's the process for doing that?

yes you need to file taxes. you can use online portal or go to the local accountant/H&R Block

When I try to log in to CRA My Account using Sign-in Partner and when I enter my SIN, I get this error:

Regarding the error above, it says I have to file my taxes first in order to access my account. I am an international student and haven't filed my taxes here yet (just completed my first year). I only did co-op and earned a $1000 honorarium. I am confused by the CRA guidelines, like, whether I am a resident for tax purposes or not. I have my bank accounts here and I am also working part-time this year. I believe I have established enough ties to be called a resident for tax purposes of this country, but I need some guidance if this is correct. I haven't travelled back to my country of residence and likely will not anytime soon, since I am doing my next course which runs till the end of this year.

I was thinking to file my taxes with WealthSImple Tax, is it okay or is there something better for first-time tax filers?

Any help is appreciated.

You must file taxes. Your employer should give you a T4. You can’t file online for the first year.
