INCOME REQUIRED FOR PARENT SPONSORSHIP

Hi There,
I want to sponsor my parents under family sponsorship. My income in 2013 was around $45,000 and in 2014, it was $38000. However, in 2012 i was student and did some part time job and my income in 2012 was only $4000. Am i eligible to sponsor my parents?

No - you are not eligible. In order to sponsor your parents in 2016, you must meet the minimum income requirements in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

You probably won't qualify for a while. Even if it's just you + 2 parents = family size of 3, that would require minimum incomes of:
3 persons
2014 2013 2012
$47,051 $46,354 $45,040

Even your 2014 income is way too low, not just 2012. If you have a wife/kids, then your family size and income requirements will be even higher.

If your 2015, 2016 and 2017 incomes qualify, then maybe you can submit an app for your parents in January 2019 at the very earliest.
