Also.. Form IMM1344 Question 6

"Your current marital status" and "the name of your spouse/common law partner".. for this should I assume we are common law? But as far as my marital status?

But seriously.. may I ask what should I write under marital status? Him "married" and me "single?" Write both "Conjugal?" Should I stop bothering you and phone the help line?

Charlie is your expert on this one. Wait for her to confirm.

I had the same problem before because with the old form there is no option there for conjugal partner the closest will be common law just put a note explaining to them that you are in a conjugal partnership. That's what was advised to me.

Ok! I found an old version of the same form (2008) on my computer and it had some spots for Conjugal. I just don't know how to interpret the questions for my situation. I was thinking I must not be the only one with this problem. Wish there was some kind of guide or help that could explain how to fill the forms in context of Conjugal. Maybe under 'relationship status' I should write Conjugal?

If anybody had any insight into this it would be really helpful. Thanks!

Does anybody have any advice on where I can go to find answers?

Sorry to bump this but I'm quite desperate for answers ;D Thanks, everyone

For this form, treat your conjugal partner as your common-law partner. Write in "conjugal" or "conjugal partner" in places where you are asked your marital status.

Thanks, and what should I write for his marital status? Conjugal as well then? Or married because that's his status in his home country.

I'd put conjugal, and then add a note explaining the situation.

Yes I put conjugal and we're on the same situation only it is my partner who is canadian and it's my ex husband who's life's mission is making me miserable. I haven't filed for annulment since it is expensive. I had the same dilemma before but I was advised to put conjugal because that is what my status is right now. My partner cannot visit me too because he is working 2 jobs to support the two of us I even moved to a condo near the Canadian Embassy Manila so that if I need to submit additional papers I can submit it myself. I already sent my app to my partner in Ontario and he is in the process of completing everything and hopefully will submit before the month ends.

Wow, it sounds like we're in the same situation.. please keep me updated as to how it all goes! I'm also working a bunch of jobs to support the two us and going back to school in the fall. I'm so tired from this and always fall asleep during our chats. I wish I could rely on him to get all the paperwork done while I work but I want it done right! ::) Plus he doesn't have good internet, a scanner, printer, etc. We've been apart for 2 years (aside from a few visits) while trying to file his annulment, and it never came through yet, wish I had known then. I hope it works out for you, please let me know how it goes!

we really spent a lot with the scanning and printing. There are internet shops here that print for 1php per page and the rest it was my partner who printed it out so that I wont spend too much on sending him the docs. I just stay home and I really focused on the app to the point I got so obsessed with completing it cus it's really difficult to be apart. I feel that since he's already working hard the least I can do is do a great job in working on the app. We have magic jack so we talk all the time. Where does he live anyway? Having internet isn't that much of a prob. I just subscribe to this wimax thingy and it was installed on the same day all though sometimes it get's crappy connections but it's better than none at all. Just don't rush things try to organize everything right like receipts, call logs, emails, chat history etc. oh by the way do u have a joint acct together? Last time my partner was here we opened a joint acct and I added him as a supplementary on my credit card and he got insurance there that I am his beneficiary.

We have a joint bank account from 2009 but I'm not sure if it is still open. If there was a way that I could pay the internet bill from Canada then we could get better service. He's using smart bro which I load online through Aryty, it's 200p for 5 days unlimited. In our subdivision in Davao the signal is really weak. How does magic jack work? I should really get one.

Oh he's in Davao. Smart bro isn't that reliable, I had it and I switched to Globe too and now I have witribe. Why not opt for PLDT DSL, I'm sure there's a way you can pay it through ur bank acct. With regards to the joint account it's would really help if u have one and it has to be active because you need to combine all your affairs as much as possible. Magic Jack is connected to the internet you can opt for a Canadian number so whenever u call him you don't spend that much And it's $30 dollars when u purchase it there and u pay for $10 for a one year subscription of unlimited call, we bought our magic jack here it's around 2,500Php and we paid for the $10 subscription it's way a lot cheaper than buying a call card. It's unlimited call to the U.S and Canada. That's why whenever my partner goes to the states to do some work there I can still call him to what hotel he is staying. You should really get one cus not only you can talk to him a lot but u can save too.
