According to my account on CIC website... my situation is the following...

Complete application, no interview, no additional documents, about 18 months for visa issuance of 80% of spousal applications from the date Caracas received application.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp#west Could be shorter

Jemm you can take a look at the CIC flowchart that outlines the whole process here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/3900Eprocess.pdf

Hi Jemm, I just wrote this on another Caracas thread... hope this helps!

Visa's issued out of Caracas are currently running at a rate of 80% of applications issued within 18 months. Your MP is a great tool to utilize once you get close to over the 18 months term. Unfortunatley, things like number of applications processed and background checks lead to a longer processing times than other embassies. If you have a straightforward case, you should see your application processed sooner however with immigration there are no guarrantees. I have added the link below which shows you processing times. You can also follow your application status using the ECAS tool https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en
