Hello There,
So I've just received my TRV refusal letter today with the below reasons:
- I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada to effect your departure
- You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your/ your host's income/assets
I'm little bit frustrated and would like to get an advice/suggestion on what additional documents should I present when I reapply. Just to give a brief background, I am a Filipino Citizen and planning to visit Canada with my husband on 17-Dec to 9-Jan to spend Christmas and New Year with his family. He's a Canadian citizen which I've read in some forums will be a red flag already. Just frustrated as we don't really have any plans to move to Canada at the moment as we have stable jobs here in the UAE.
So the documents I've previously submitted are: Application Form, my 3-month bank statement, letter from my company stating my vacation dates, return ticket, medical insurance, invitation letter from my mother-in-law, mother-in-law's citizenship certificate, husband's letter stating he's accompanying me, husband's passport, marriage certificate and copies of my previous travel history (Europe and Maldives).
I would appreciate if you can provide some light on what specific documents should we prepare and does the documents coming from Canada need to be notarized.
Would love to visit my in-laws as the last time I saw them was in the Philippines when my husband and I was still in High School (9 yrs ago!) as they weren't able to come home for our wedding.
Thanks in advance!
