I am not sure if this is somewhere in the thread but here are my questions:
I am Canadian Citizen living in Canada and recently I got married in India. My wife already has Canadian visitor's visa valid for 6yrs and she has been to Canada as tourist last year before I met her. She is completing her residency in India and will be done in Oct 2014. My questions are:
i) She will be visiting me in Oct 2014 and is it better for me to apply for spousal sponsorship once she is in Canada (IN-Canada applications)? Once she is here we can apply for extension when the application is in process. I understand that she will not be able to work till then but that is fine. Does it take longer than out of canada applications?
ii) Or should I apply for Out-of- Canada application now? This way, I won't be wasting the time till Oct. If i apply now, can she visit me in Oct on her visitor's visa? Will the immigration officer cause any issues when she will arrive in Canada in Oct?
Only thing is if she is here in Oct or so and then they call her for interview in India then it would be a hassle..
