In Canada on Under 35 Visa Work Programme with Permanent Job

Hi

I'd appreciate some help if possible.

I'm currently on a 1 year open work permit (Under 35 Visa Work Progamme) and have secured a permanent position as a legal assistant in Vancouver.

I would like to stay on in Vancouver and my employers are happy with this arrangement. I am unsure as how to go about securing a work permit or if this is the right option to take.

I entered the country in August 09 and my current visa expires August 2010.

I am from Ireland and have just got the under 35 visa from Usit. I am a newly qualified barrister and looking to work as a Legal Assistant in Vancouver. Was it difficult to get your job?
