Hi everyone,

I am in a bit of a puzzled situation. The recent Express entry cutoff scores haven't gone below 440 which makes me anxious as my score is the same and this only reduces the probability. I had managed to get a decent 8.5 band in my IELTS exam with my writing score being 7. I was recently calculating CRS score assuming the case if I had scored a 7.5 in writing and it increased by 3 points. So I started wondering..should I take the IELTS again? Another alternative that i could think of was to take the TEF exam. But I have no prior knowledge or experience in French. can anybody suggest what would be better approach to increase my CRS? Should I take the IELTS again or should I start learning French?TIA

Sit tight, if your CRS is 440, you will get an ITA within a month or so.

Take IELTS again. If you have no knowledge of French then it will be extremely hard to score the desired result.

I have been hearing there is a possibility for the score to drop below 440 in the next few months. It all depends though

@SithLord I have scored 9 and 8.5's in all the three sections. The only one where I didn't score that great is writing(got a 7) and with the current trend in IELTS scores I am not sure if it would be feasible to scale it higher than 7 in writing. Any suggestions on how to score higher in writing?

From what I have heard getting even a 7 in writing is tough.
