Hi Friends

I am Pakistani citizen but presently residing in Belgium and in process of applying 1 yr course from Northern Light College Britidh Columbia in September 2017 intake.

I have been given admission / acceptance letter and will be transferring fees in next week.

My question is :

1. When should I start study permit process?

2. Do I have to show proof of funds from my Pakistani bank account ( which is in my name) or from my Belgian Bank account?

in Belgian bank account case i have to transfer the amount from Pakistan to Belgium ( So what you suggest the best solution)

3. for how many months should I show (keep) the proof of funds before applying study permit?

4. I anticipate that since I will be applying from Belgium and my visa office will be Germany and they will invite me at Hamburg for interview and their process time is around 1 week.

Your advises will be highly appreciated
Thanks

You can apply once you receive unconditional letter of acceptance from DLI. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=480&top=15

1) I would recommend you to apply in Mid June. Meanwhile get your application ready i.e. Ties to home country and current country of residence, medical, IELTS (you should already have this), Statement of purpose, Sponsorship affidavit from parents (if applicable), Letter of recommendation (if applicable) and applicable forms
2) Either of the account. Not sure, if you need to show the account balance. Nowadays, all students transfer the GIC of $10 K CAD into canadian account. And pay the first semester tuition fee to fulfil the financial requirement with sponsorship from parents.
3) Which ever way you go. You should ideally keep the funds until you get the decision.
