I went to university here and graduated in january 2021. I started working right after graduation and im still working at a Tech company, this company doesnt allow sponsorship for PNP but i like working there and its basically my career. I still didnt not get the PR because my score is 467 and now they are taking 483 which is super high if you dont have masters and stuff. My PGWP is expiring in feb 2024, i am so worried and dont know what to do, is there any other way to apply for PR? I cant do PNP and i tried improving my celpip but it is just ridiculous keep retaking the exam, ive done it twice already. I am so frustrated by this situation and i dont know what to do

talk to your employer and apply for lmia and apply wp based on lmia. it will give you additional 50 points

Is it that easy for them to do it?
No. Employer has to post your job and show that no Canadian, PR or person work authorization past your work permit expiry doesn’t apply and is not qualified. Then they need to fill out all the paperwork, meet requirements and pay $1k. If you get a LMIA then you can add 50 points but that doesn’t let you work past your work permit expiry. You need to apply for a closed work permit.

To expand on what Naturgrl said, most employers don't do LMIA for PGWPs as it is hard to prove that the job was for someone that couldn't be hired from within Canada(especially if it an entry level job). LMIA itself is just $1k and some paperwork - which isn't the issue for most employers; the issue rather is building this proof that they were unable to hire locally and be truthful about it.

It also matters if your employer has previously done LMIA, understands the process, and/or has the motivation to follow through with the process. Some employers just don't like the idea of LMIA or are not in a state to make a commitment for a LMIA.

You need to see how replaceable you really are for this employer. If you aren't replaceable, think thoughfully about how to request LMIA for yourself as this could be a longish process.

A little bit of career advice here - if you were unable to secure LMIA and PR by the time your PGWP expires, and you really liked working for this company - ask them to make you a contractor and work remotely. If that can work, you can continue to work at this job and increase your CRS. Set up a sole proprietorship entity for yourself in your home country to invoice and make everyone's life easier. Once you are back as a PR, pick yourself from where you left.

Sounds like its time for you to find a new job. The employer is reluctant to support PNP and doing LMIA is also a support application process, so I doubt they would do that as well. You already have the work hrs needed for CEC all you need now is an employment to secure PNP. You have 1yr left, I suggest you cut your losses with this employer or you will eventually be sent back home.
