Friends, I will be applying for a travel document from India in a month if I dont receive my PR card in time and need inputs before I submit my application.

Can I post the application for myself and my spouse in one envelope or should I submit it to VFS or in person @ New Delhi Consulate?

Please share any other experiences of applying a travel doc @ New Delhi Consulate.

My spouse just got back from India using Travel Document.
We did not apply through VFS. It took 26 days to receive the Travel Document. Try to give atleast a month from the date of submission. My spouse was supposed to travel in 3 weeks, however since we didn't hear back anything from Consulate, we had to postpone the flight.
Even submitting the return flight ticket didn't help get it any faster.

This is really useful information. Thanks Kevin. Did your spouse mail the application or submitted to New Delhi Consulate? Can you please tell me what all documents have to be submitted along with the application.

We couriered the application and received the TD in speed post.
Along with whatever was requested in the website, she provided her employment letter, bank statement and the return ticket.
