Ok this is probably a silly question, but my husband has a small (10 gallon) fish tank and we're not sure if he can bring his fish with him to Canada. His cat was easy, just needed a rabies vaccine and certificate, but I can't seem to find anything about fish.

I'd feel bad if he had to dump them down the toilet "prematurely".

Yes he probably can, depending on the fish see: http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/science/enviro/aah-saa/ornamental-aquarium-eng.htm

Just wondering if the poor fish will actually survive the trip to Canada..
:(

he should be able to put them in a Ziplock bag and big in his carry on. May have to give them some air by blowing into the bag when he lands. Hope no mouth to mouth will be req'd
Please pardon the Friday humour,

Lol. We're driving actually. Going to take 2 days probably to get from LA to Vancouver. I know they'd survive in a bucket but just trying to figure out if there will be a hassle at the border. Thanks for the DFO link. As for type of fish, a few guppies, tetra's, and I think some little shark. Nothing crazy, he's just kinda attached to them. :P

Wow, if the fish can drive they will get in really easy.

I expect to see them soon on the wonderful CBC show - "the current" !

OK, I apologize for the previous text, please don't give me too much bad Karma :)

Oh Baloo you've made me laugh so much this morning! I often see posts and think funny responses but haven't written any....thank you for cheering up my gloomy grey Sunday!!
