both my visa and work permit have expired, and my employer kept on insisting that we still can stay here in the country since he already applied for a renewal of our LMO and Work Permit. He's been personally making calls and has been working on our continued stay here, that until the Immigration Agency haven't decided on our fate yet here we can still continue working. i've overheard him saying that we're on an IMPLIED STATUS. can anybody give some input on this matter. thanks in advance.

by the way, I'm part of the Low Skilled Pilot Project.
 
there is a new rule for low skilled worker. Try this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/work/low-skill-faq06.asp. Hope this help.
 
Normally if you are on a work permit and you apply to renew it before it expires but you don't hear back, you are under implied status. If you are not sure, you can call CIC and ask them for more info. You can find their number here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/index.asp
