Hello,

I just applied to switch from my working holiday visa to a visitor visa. But the waitlist length looks like I will enter implied status.

I want to visit Toronto from Vancouver while under the implied status, but while they may not check my passport on a domestic flight, if they do, it will just show an expired visa.

From my research it seems like traveling by plane around Canada while under implied status is OK, but I haven't /won't receive any documents or proof that I am implied status and am worried that would cause issues at an airport.

Advice?

Thanks

CATSA and your airline will check your passport photo page only. As long as you remain in Canada and do not end up in the states on a layover or anything you won't see anyone from CBSA, so you will be fine.

If you have a provincial driver license or other photo ID with your name, date of birth, and gender, then you don't even need to show your passport for air travel within Canada. This page lists the requirements for identification.
