Given I have a peculiar situation I wanted to see if someone has had a similar experience.
Back in 2019 when I applied for PR through sponsorship, I also applied to extend my current status as a worker (PGWP). Then, two months after my status expired, and I was under implied status, both applications were returned to me because I was missing documentation. This took me out of status and I ended up having to apply for PR again and also apply for a restoration of status (still under the 90 day grace period to do so).
I stayed in Canada, and I never obtained approval or refusal on the restoration of status, and ended up getting PR in late 2021.
My question is, how would I present this information within the online application for citizenship, (the only status available are visitor, student, worker, protected status) - and would this weird buffer time when I didn't get any word on whether I had restored status be considered implied status? Does this count as presence in Canada? Should I wait to apply when I have enough days Post-PR to apply for citizenship?
Thank you!
