Implied Status ->Closed to BOWP - Is it legal to work ?

Hi Friends !

I am sorry if this has been answered already, but I would like to know the correct response for this as I am in the same situation now.
My current closed WP is expiring 31st Oct'13 and I will be receiving my AOR around 23rd Oct'13 (as my CEC PR file is received by CIO on 23rd Aug'13). So I will have 7-8 days to apply for BOWP, I am planning for online BOWP application. I came to know that I will be in implied status from 1st Nov 2013 till my BOWP is approved. I would like to know whether I can work after 1st Nov based on the conditions of the existing closed WP(expiring on 31st Oct) or I just simply stay in Canada but can not work. What does implied status mean actually when changing the conditions from closed to open WP(BOWP) ? Though my Closed WP expires on 31st Oct, I may get some work from employer in Nov and Dec 2013 based on the fact that I applied for open work permit. Am I legally eligible to work while I am on implied status while changing the status from closed to open wp.

Implied status means you can continue to work under the conditions of your first permit. In your case, to continue working for the same employer until the new permit is approved.
