So my understanding is that we're allowed to continue working on implied status, but I'm wondering if anyone has run into any issues with HR where they work, medical insurance or pay?

HR has a copy of our pgwps and might request an updated SIN.

Has anyone visited Services Canada about this or experienced not getting pay/work under implied status? Guess it depends on the employer/HR department.

Thanks!

You should get Pay during your status as IMPLIED

I had been into this implied status situation for 2 months and few days, in that duration I got paid & my company health insurance was on only my alberta health coverage was expired as they do not consider implied status. I am not so sure why my HR did not bother to ask me about my work permit expiry, social insurance expiry and all that stuff, of course I also did not try to inform them voluntarily. on the other hand I read all the articles and printed off those clauses which states about the implied status & work enforcement from cic website just to defend my situation in case of any issues with HR. Later in month of FEB 2015 I received my extended open work permit without making delay I had extend my SIN. I am still working at same company, and I don't even think that my HR would ask me about that situation anymore cuz I am damn sure it is a responsibility of HR to keep a track of all expiring SIN of temporary workers and they failed in that.

Thanks!!!

I'm just worried HR and/or Payroll will make a big stink about my work permit that's set to expire a month from now.

If anyone else experienced any difficulties with HR/Payroll while on implied status, pls share how you resolved it.

I am working towards my eligibility for CEC. I currently have a work experience of 8.5 months in NOC B job . By the time my work permit expires I will accumulate 9 months experience. I have already applied for implied statutes which takes 100 days by CIC to decide. My question is if I get a decision in 100 days while I continue working so would that be experience counted towards my experience require for CEC. In other words is the work we do under implied status counted as a work experience for CEC?

I believe so, it is legal and therefore you're authorized to work so should be ok.

1. No, it not going to count as s/he would require a valid work permit for the work to count for CEC.

Yes it does - see:

Hi,

I fell under implied status back in October, as long as you have your work permit extension or BOWP application before your status expire you're fine.

I continued to work and get paid and my health benefits weren't affected.

They should have been as under implied status you have no health care!
