HI,
I have been living in Canada for 6 years, went to school here, work here and am a Canadian resident.
I wanted to get married in December, if all goes right however she is not Canadian and has never been here before, howver she lived in the states for a bit and travelled around for a bit.

I wanted to know how should i go abt it?

1. Get Married back home and apply for a visit visa?
2. Apply for a visit visa and get married here?
3. is there any spouse Visa or something that i can apply for, if i get married back home?

Thank you.

well, it really depends on some things - where is your wife from? depending on that, she can easily come to Canada (from a visa exempt country) or apply for a tourist visa.. but she can be refused if she doesn't show enough proof of ties to her home country (a job that waits for her when she's back, property, family, etc.)

if she traveled around for a bit and was to USA as well, this can work in her favour - it shows positive travel history and that she didn't overstay in any foreign country. she still has to prove she won't overstay in Canada.

i think overall it's better for you to visit her and do the wedding there and then apply to sponsor her for permanent residency, through the outland route (her application gets processed overseas, in a selected visa office according to her home country).

anyway, tell us first where your wife is from and we can offer you more useful and specific information.
