Hello,
I am a non-resident and I got married to a Canadian citizen after a year of cohabitation. Now I have to leave because I was on a visitor's visa and 6 months have almost expired. We were considering working on a sponsorship outside Canada. But I just found out that I am pregnant.
I was wondering if it makes my immigration harder or easier?

Thank you

Hi

Being pregnant won't affect your application in any way, positive or negative.

You can apply to extend your visitor status, explaining that you are submitting a common-law sponsorship app. Provided you can show that you can support your extended visit, you have a good chance of approval. You can submit an outland app while inside Canada.

Thank you for your response!

How would I go about extending my visitor's visa?

Application is here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp

Thank you a lot :)
