Hi there,
I have been thinking about immigrating to Canada for quite some time now. I am a nanny in my mid 40's. I have been a nanny for over 20 years and am also a qualified Maternity Nurse. I am planning on starting my own business as a Baby Consultant and offering a bespoke service in Nanny Placement further down the road.
I have been in contact with an Immigration Company who told me that the best way for me would be to go over as a nanny. They said they would match me up with a family, we would have an interview via Skype, and once they have checked my references, etc, and made a job offer, they then apply for the work visa, which, I am told, takes about two months. This seems far too easy, and I really would appreciate some info from anyone who knows about this. When I asked them about how much money I would need in savings, they said all I need is a job offer. (I wouldn't move to another country without savings.)
I would really like to get the ball rolling on this, as my aim is to move over to Canada by September next year.
Looking forward to hearing from some of you.
Thanks!
