Hello all,

Quebec is changing rules effectively from August 1st, and one of the changes is that "Note that henceforth, for students, the application for a Certificat de séléction du Québec must be submitted in the 36 months following completion of the study program.". What does this exactly mean? Previously, for graduate students, they can apply after finishing half the period of their study. Does the above change affect this?

Thanks

Hi David,

I am also searching for the same thing what does it means. As i want to apply for quebec. There is a big question marks is that will i be able to apply in the new rules or life will be difficult.

Please let me know if you are recieveing any reply for the same.

You still can apply in the new rules, but you need a higher level of French.

I've applied on 19th july, after completing my half of the study. lets wait and watch what will happen.
i'll post here when i get update of my file. My area of training comes under 16 points and i've submitted TEFAQ - B1 and IELTS- 7 bands, hope i'll get response soon.

Regarding the list of areas of training, we need to check under the "entrager Diploma", right? I have Bachelor in Information Technology and master in Electrical Engineering both from outside Canada.

HI,

My confusion is how many points we need in new rules. Currently it is getting 50(excluding french) only if more need then will i need to unable to forget my dream of canada ?

Also what is TEFAQ - B1 means is it for french?

Yes TEFaQ is one of the recognized french tests, and B1 means intermediate (low) level.
