Hello everyone , my name is Ab and i live in Africa . recently i came a cross website that gives hopes to those who would live to live and work in Canada , so i decided to take my shot and give it a try .
I am graduated from medical school few months ago and contacted the immigration office website that offer Canadian immigration assessment form on Canadavisa.com. and i guess i wasn't successful as they told me to look for a job that meet my qualification and then come back.
so i wanna know what is my options here to have a work in Canada as i am only 3 months experience as a medical doctor ?
any suggestion would be appreciated !

thank you .

Wait till the new immigration rules are out in April 2013. Also, you need at least 1 year of full-time work experience in your profession (if it is in the high demand list, unfortunately that is not out yet).

Doctors who have graduated outside Canada need to go back to school for 2 years or more and then do the residentship again for 3 years before they are allowed to practise here..

I have a friend who graduated from FRCS London and who was working as a skull base drill surgeon in the middle east. He currently drives a cab in Toronto. Goes to night school.

This is not to discourage you, but most skilled immigrants who come here end up doing 'survival jobs'.

I really don't understand why this rule. A human body outside canada is the same as in canada. But that is the way it is.
