Your question is not clear. Are you asking if he should be an immigration consultant? If you are sponsoring him via spousal sponsorship what he does when he gets here is totally up to him. Does he have a background in that type of thing? If not then just being an immigrant doesn't qualify him to be a consultant if he doesn't know all the processes and rules associated with the process.

If not then I would suggest he try to find a job that he has experience in, there are way too many consultants out there that do not know what they are doing and that doesn't help other people to immigrate to Canada.

It's very hard to understand if OP is trying to sponsor her husband to Canada or if she is part of his immigration application and are both moving to Canada.
I think OP is the one whose is trying to see if herself could become an immigration consultant. (as suggested by her husband)
Well, one thing about being an immigration consultant is to read and understand and explain the immigration process to her client. And to help clients to reponse to IRCC in case of any issue or update. I think she may need to improve those basic skill first since either me or the above memeber understand her question here.

And immigration consultants are regulated and needed to be authorized.

This is some basic info about that (for people to find out if their representative is authorized):
