Hello Everybody - We live and work in Canada. Our son (one-year-old) happened to born in U.S while we were visiting our family over there a year ago. After his birth, we came back to Canada and sponsored him under family immigration category. We received a letter from CPC Ottawa yesterday stating that his immigration is completed.

My question is: Since he is in Canada, do we need to take him back to U.S and get him enter in Canada as immigrant or we just need to go to any airport and see an immigration officer to get his PR? We are confused as he need not a visa to visit Canada and he is already here but how to see an immigration officer to get his process for PR done?

Your replies/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hi

To land at an airport, he would have to leave Canada and return on an international flight. You can't just go to the airport to land.

You can either take him to flagpole at the Canada-US border or make an appointment at a local CIC office for him to land.
