Hey guys :)

I recently submitted an application for a Postgraduate work permit.

What I've been really looking to find out, is what EXACTLY does Immigration Canada check when they are processing these visas?

Do they check:

- Online (social media, etc.)

- Bank information (do they see the type of accounts I have, how much money I have in each account, etc.)

- Previous work references?

Just curious if anyone has information on closely they look at things OUTSIDE of just the application submitted through the visa website.

It'd be helpful for us all to know exactly what they are looking at so we can make sure to avoid doing something that may create delayed processing times for non-issues.

Thanks in advance guys!

They can & do verify the required documents requested.

Bank information & work references? Yes.

Online social media? It's been documented here & elsewhere that yes, some VOs check LinkedIn etc.
