Hello. I and my fiancée have taken our IELTS and have our ECA done. Our wedding was planned for May 2020 but due to the lockdown imposed, we plan to reschedule it to November 2020. We have not applied and hence, are not in the pool yet - however, our individual tentative scores as per our credentials and the official CRS Tool on CIC Website are as follows:
Me: 441; My fiancée : 478. We will be applying through the Express Entry program.
If we get married and apply together (She being the Lead Applicant since her score is higher), our scores together would be 479.

My questions to the forum - Do we apply as individual applicants or do we apply as one? Is a Marriage Certificate required?

Why this question - If we get married in November - say 15 November 2020 and apply as one on the 1st of December 2020, will our application be seen as a legitimate one - especially since we would be a newly married couple? We will only have our marriage certificate as a document to prove our marriage. The lockdown imposed in our country (India) has put everything on an endless loop - almost impossible to process a name change for my fiancée, joint bank account opening process is hampered, etc.
I assume that we will have all other the required documents in place - Marriage Photos, required funds, and other mandatory documents needed even as individual applicants.

Thank you in advance.
