I am an International Student currently studying at University of Ottawa. I am in Canada on a 21 Months Study Permit; will expire on September 2010

I had applied for permanent resident as a skilled worker- Submitted in Trinidad and Tobago October 2007; 16 months has already passed, Can I transfer my application to Canada / Bufflow? Can I request that the application be processed in Tandem? So that I can stay in Canada

I noticed there is regular application and simplified process. Can I request for changes to the application to have it process as Regular Application Process instead of the Simplified process?

Do you think I should reapply for the permanent resident in Canada at Bufflow office?

PLease advise as to how to procede.

Regards,
Safraz

how long does Trinidad applications usually take. If they are yet to ask you for your documents, then you might be better off re-applying for FSW1 through sydney with buffalo as your visa office. If you wait for 10 more months, you qualify for FSW 3.

You also qualify under Federal CEC after you finish your course as well as possibly Ontario PNP,Welcome to Canada

Hello Seniors,

Please help. I am looking for some advice.

I am a TA at a US university and applied for fsw after feb 2008 to buffalo. According to ecas, my application is still in process.

In the interim, I also applied to schools in Canada. If I get admitted, I heard that getting a student visa will be difficult. Is this true? Alternatively, someone suggested that instead of applying for student visa directly, I should apply for TRV, visit Canada and then apply for change of status to as student visa. Is this possible? I have been to Canada before and want to start my life and career there.

Thank you.
